...pushing the limits with wonderful results!

We are in a "Golden Age" of Ukulele building. There are better Ukes being made today than at any other time in the history of the instrument. Today, Ukes are being used in everything from jazz to rock. To keep up with the needs of these new players, luthiers are having to push the limits of this humble little instrument with wonderful results. Spruce tops, cutaways, 6 strings, 8 strings, alternative woods; there are so many new things people are trying. It is very exciting! That openness to try something new is a common quality I have found among the Ukulele community and that's what makes building these things a lot of fun.
